Traveling with Liam as our tour leader and a diverse international group of old and newly converted "Japanofiles" made for an outstanding tour experience. Liam repeatedly demonstrated his total commitment to the group to ensure the best tour experience possible. Overall our trip to Japan was hands down the best trip we've taken and InsideJapan Tours played a big role in that. To start off, the Info-Packs provided were invaluable. For example, we arrived in Tokyo a few days before our tour and were travelling to Takayama first. With the help of the train travel directions provided by InsideJapan Tours, we were able to easily navigate our way around on our own which would not have been the case if we were trying to figure it out ourselves, having no knowledge of Japanese. The small tour group size was great because it felt like we had a personalized tour guide to ourselves even though we were on a tour with 8 to 10 other people. And it was small enough that we could get to know all the others on the tour if we chose to. Also we could easily get around together on the local transportation as a small group.

The tour had a good mix of guided tour days and days with free time to explore on our own after we'd gotten the hang of the local transportation.

The accommodation was very good, nice clean places. We used public transport, which was good so we got an idea and chance to mix in with locals. Right from the start from the booking till the end the staff here and there are very considerant and flexiable. They were flexable with payments, add on, extra's. It was excellent customer service all along. They really go the extra miles to make you comfortable & happy and make the trip extra special. The trip was a memoriable experience and I really enjoyed it. Thanks alot to all those who made it possiable.

Had a fabulous time on tour! It’s flexible so you can stick with the group or do your own thing, and the tour leader is happy to help with info and directions when you’re branching out. You don’t feel rushed with plenty of time to go exploring. Love the way you use public transport rather than being herded around on a small bus driven by an over-enthusiastic backpacker with a microphone! The Tanabe Ryokan in Takayama was awesome and the owner and staff made us feel very welcome. The other hotels were comfortable and in fab locations. We had four included dinners which was tops as the other nights were free so the more adventurous members of the group were able to head out for some weird and wonderful Japanese cuisine with the help of our tour leader. Can’t wait for my next trip with the help of Inside Japan!
