Beginner's scuba dive
Ever fancied learning to scuba dive? Ishigaki Island is a great place to start.
InsideJapan can arrange a beginner's discovery dive off the coast of Ishigaki with a reputable dive school. English speaking instructors will give you a full introduction on land including safety training before you take to the ocean. Then you'll practice clearing your ears, adjusting your buoyancy and clearing your mask before setting off to explore the coral - accompanied at all times by your instructor.
The waters around Ishigaki are teeming with colourful, tropical fish who swim around hundreds of different kinds of coral. Excellent visibility and year-round warm sea temperatures makes Ishigaki a fantastic place to experience scuba.
