Our team at Inside Japan Tours
The sun never sets on the InsideJapan Tours team (well, maybe on Sundays) as we have offices in Bristol (UK), Broomfield, (USA), Brisbane (Australia) and Nagoya (Japan). On this page you can meet the people behind our Japan holidays and tours.
We have a wide range of backgrounds and interests, but you can be sure that the one thing that ties us all together is a love of Japan, Japanese culture and a passionate desire to share that with other people.
From the accounts department, through the travel consultant teams to the tour leaders and guides on the ground, you can rest assured that everything we do is to make sure you have the best possible experience of Japan.

Having grown up in multicultural San Francisco, Jeff became interested in Asia from a young age. But when a group of Japanese children visited his school (armed with incredible handmade toys), the seed was sown for a lifelong interest in the language and culture.
After graduating business school, Jeff realised his long-held dream of working for a Japanese company with a ten-year international marketing career at Sony. As well as travelling across the world with the role, he lived and worked in Argentina, Singapore and Japan.
In amongst myriad travel memories, he counts climbing Mount Fuji in Japan and exploring Bagan's temples by torchlight (channelling his inner Indiana Jones) in Burma (Myanmar) as some of the highlights. But, a man after our own heart, many of Jeff's favourite places are recalled through their regional cuisine.
Over in Vietnam, Hoi An's cao lau noodles left quite the impression, as did crusty baguettes and perfectly brewed coffee in Hanoi - rivalling any Paris can offer according to Jeff! Top Japanese dishes included momiji manju (maple cakes) on Miyajima Island, takoyaki (octopus balls) in Osaka and unagi-ju (eel) in Shizuoka.
But food aside, his experiences in Japan left him with tremendous respect for the culture, work ethic and thoughtful hospitality. After Sony, he followed this passion for different ways of life with marketing leadership roles in travel, later founding a company to develop technology solutions for travel and hospitality. Now he's bringing this depth of knowledge about Asia and marketing to our (extremely delighted) team in Boulder.
