Cake Helps to Save Lives
In 2008 InsideJapan Tours raised in excess of a £1000 for children’s charities in Bristol and Japan when Harry Sargant ran the Tokyo Marathon. This year we have taken to charity in a slightly different way – we made cake. Every member of staff made cakes of varying flavours and texture, but they all had one thing in common – they were delicious. Even the PR manager made his first foray into cake baking since junior school days and produced some fine chocolate flapjacks. InsideJapan Tours raised a total of £130 which isn’t a massive amount of money but gives you an idea as to how much cake was made and sold and the effort put in by our staff for the children’s charity. InsideJapan’s staff are currently pondering on ways to raise charity in 2010 and hope to continue making a contribution to charities in the UK and Japan.
