1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
We had a wonderful trip and appreciated every detail organised by InsideJapan Tours. Excellent service and an excellent itinerary.

Sawako was responsive, efficient and very friendly. She had excellent suggestions for us and listened well to our questions and preferences. We appreciated her energy, humour and genuine interest in our trip.

4. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
The mix of accommodation - from excellent Western-style hotels to traditional ryokans - was perfect. We were very happy to try lots of different experiences with the accommodation. We also found the recommendation for luggage forwarding to be an excellent one - it was very easy and efficient and we even used it on days that weren’t recommended by InsideJapan. It made everything so easy and comfortable for our travels.

5. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Airport shuttles were efficient and convenient. All of the train/bus journeys were extremely well organised, clean, efficient, comfortable and fun! We loved the Shinkansen trips, as well as the bus rides in the Alps. We were amazed at how precise the transport was, leaving exactly on time with no exceptions. InsideJapan did very well with recommending the plan for transit times and stopovers. The IC cards provided were very easy to use and convenient. It was all perfect!

6. Please comment on any professional guiding included in your package?
Ms Sylvia Yamawaki was our guide in Tokyo. Sylvia was a very friendly person with an interesting background. She helped us get oriented in Tokyo and assisted us with the metro trains, which was very helpful. We had a wonderful day walking around to all of the spots we hoped to see on our first day … and she suggested a great lunch place right under the Shinkansen tracks near Tokyo Station. We enjoyed her company very much and had some good laughs while we enjoyed Tokyo for the first time! Mr Aki Koenuma was our guide in Kyoto. Aki was very professional and courteous - even leaving a message in our hotel the night before to confirm our booking and meeting place. He was a charming and interesting man and put together a wonderful day in Kyoto based on our questions and preferences. Aki really put in over and above expectations, staying longer than he needed to in order to show us the beautiful sunset over Kyoto from the Fushimi Inari Shrine lookout. A perfect way to finish a great day with him in Kyoto. Aki also arranged a very enjoyable lunch in a restaurant we would not have tried on our own. It was wonderful! Finally, our Takayama Food and Culture Walk was led by Marino from Satoyama Experience. There were no others on our tour so it felt like a private guide! Marino was a very friendly and enthusiastic person and we enjoyed our time with her very much, especially the chats with the market stall-holders and the sake tasting.

It was such a positive experience, and we fully appreciate the background work put into making our itinerary run so smoothly. While we now have much more confidence to perhaps book our own arrangements in Japan, we also see the benefit of all the experience and recommendations from your team, to make the holiday even better.
