In Roppongi, a corner of Tokyo most known for its expat community and night time entertainment scene, Mori art gallery is a real gem. Located 240 metres above the capital in Mori Tower, the art gallery presents innovative modern art exhibitions featuring work that is both contemporary and international. The museum makes a point of keeping the art accessible to the general public avoiding impenetrable, obscure descriptions for example. There is no fixed exhibition here so you never know what is going to be on show. The museum showcases Japanese contemporary artists as well as those from the West, Asia and around the world. One thing you can be assured of is that a visit to the Mori Gallery is never dull.
