Foot baths
Still not convinced about getting naked? Foot baths are a great way to feel the benefits of natural hot springs.
Ashiyuu or foot baths can be found on street corners in many hot spring resort towns. Usually housed in an open-sided wooden pagoda, these baths are free of charge, so simply take off your socks and shoes, dangle your feet in the hot water. Perfect after a hard day of sightseeing!
