National Geographic - Sarah Barrell
Sarah Barrell recently travelled with us to Kyoto, where she discovered the diverse delights of Japan's cultural heartland. In her article she is beguiled by the contrast of traditional and modern in this ancient city, recounting her experiences as she learns to cook with a local Kyotoite, visits the International Manga Museum, eats sushi prepared by a master chef, and samples fine wines in a chic contemporary wine bar.
Her article also contains some useful tips and recommendations as to what to see & do, and where to shop, eat, stay, and go out.
