Financial Times - Daniel Metcalfe
Matsuyama's Dogo Onsen is one of the most historic and most unique bath houses in Japan. Daniel visited as the onsen celebrated its 120th birthday contrasting contemporary and traditional with works of art around the old town. There were also a number of hotels and traditional ryokan that got involved for the event, giving over a room for a complete redesign. To be honest, it doesn't matter when you are there, this old bath house is a very interesting experience in a lovely little city.
