InsideJapan supports local work experience students
Both students currently study Japanese and were keen to use the opportunity to put their language skills and knowledge of Japan into practice.
Here's what they had to say about their time with InsideJapan Tours:
"What I found most rewarding and interesting about the experience was the huge variety of activities that were planned for me, and the diverse aspects of the company that I got to experience. From this, I was able to get a good sense of the kinds of skills required for this kind of work - consistent communication with other departments, adaptability and communication with members of the public. It all seemed extremely well organised, and the individuals with whom I spent time and shadowed were also all very well organised and provided an interesting and insightful time." A. "The highlight of my week was when I got to shadow the travel consultants as I feel that they have the most interesting role, in terms of what they do. I liked the idea of how skilled it was to be able to talk to a client over the phone and create a personalised itinerary based on what they wanted; to be able to do this, one would need to know the country very well. As well as the travel consultants, I found most of the other roles interesting and everybody in the office was friendly and inviting.
